was a keen amateur radio enthusiast, a member of the Leeds Amateur radio
society. Also keen on photography and angling (Fishing). It was from
Bill that I, the webmaster, learnt the gentle art of angling - and much
more. Bill was a great learner and teacher,
he was always keen to pass on his knowledge to others. I remember him
fondly!.
Ernest (Bill) Sollitt - In his later years
entered hospital on a number of occasions with chest and lung problems, he was
a heavy smoker! (possibly a fashion retained from
the war years!). Sadly he died on March 2nd at the age of 69 years, in
the Leeds General Infirmary -
Gt George Street
- Leeds2. He was cremated
and lays at rest in
Lawnswood
Cemetery
